What do you bring to the table?
I am fortunate to have the opportunity to manage such a talented group of people. We have spent years working with each other which enables us to play to each other's strengths. As a designer for the firm, I get the chance to work with our clients directly and keep my creative blood flowing.
What are your hobbies and interests?
Edgewater takes up a majority of my time because I love it. The diversity of our projects and clients keeps things fresh and exciting. Outside of work I spend my time with my husband, Eric, and my son Gus. At this point in our lives, Gus's activities are our activities, so football, basketball and baseball rule our weekends. In the summer, I thoroughly enjoy spending time on our pontoon at the Crooked Lake sandbar. Just me and a hundred of my closest friends.
What groups are you part of inside and outside of work?
Already have my work groups listed. Outside of work I try and spend as much time as I can with family and friends. Goal is to laugh as much as possible! Life is too short!
What is your favorite thing about your job, working with clients or types of projects?
I love what I do, period. I love my teammates and I love what we get the opportunity to create. I know we are providing the best service we can and we are our client's greatest ambassadors throughout their design / build process. The fact that we work on new construction, remodel work, additions for both residential and commercial work, provides us with a variety of challenges. Our jobs are never boring.
What is your favorite food and how often do you eat it?
My homemade lasagna is the best, if I must say so. I try and make it once a month but more like every other month. The amount of cheese I use is crazy. That pan must weigh 10 pounds.
What is your favorite adult beverage?
Coors Light is my favorite and I certainly have that more often than I have my favorite food. There is something about those blue mountains.
What is your favorite song and why?
Favorite songs are from the 80's simply because I am a 80's girl. My top choices would be Don't Stop Believin' - Journey and Livin' on a Prayer - Bon Jovi. I do enjoy a great variety but when you are at a wedding or bar, please tell me what songs bring the most people out on the dance floor? Exactly!

Wafels & Dinges! Once, while visiting New York City.

An occasional coffee is about as adult as I get.

What do you bring to the table?
I have been working in the Architectural Design field for over 20 years and still truly love what I do. My father was a builder and I spent many days with him on site. This was my first introduction to the industry which grew into a passion for design and building! Drafting allows me to get into a project at ground level and work through development and completion. Every stage is exciting and I love being challenged on a daily basis!
What are your hobbies and interests?
My biggest hobbies and interests at this point revolve around my daughter, Gabby. She is active in several sports so I enjoy spending many hours watching her and cheering her on. We also enjoy cooking and shopping (of course) together and she is the absolute light of my life! The other member of our family is our Yellow Lab, Cooper, and we spend lots of time taking him on walks, hikes and swimming.
What groups are you part of inside and outside of work?
At this point, all my free time revolves around Gabby, Cooper and a very large extended family. I have 5 sisters and many nieces and nephews. And as they all get older, the family continues to grow with lots of opportunities for family gatherings!
What is your favorite thing about your job, working with clients or types of projects?
I love many aspects of my job but would have to say that seeing a project that I've worked on actually come to life is the best part. I enjoy working with clients from beginning to end and especially like site visits, at any and every stage. Spending so much time with my father on construction sites, I feel very at home there.
What is your favorite food and how often do you eat it?
I have far too many favorite foods but the first thing that comes to mind is Ice Cream. There is never a day when it doesn't sound or taste good - no matter the season or the time!
What is your favorite adult beverage?
On a hot summer day, nothing tastes better than an ice cold beer. However, when the winter winds are blowing and you are cozy inside, it's a nice glass of wine that I prefer.
What is your favorite song and why?
I'm not sure I could pick a favorite song. I love many types of music and listen to several as well. As my daughter likes the "new" stuff I listen to lots of that but we typically listen to the Contemporary Christian Radio Station and I have many favorites at the time. We also enjoy listening to many of the "older" tunes and especially love the Beatles, Eagles and Jackson Five.

What do you bring to the table?
My previous work experiences and education have given me a well-rounded perspective on the various trades and techniques needed to help homes come together. I also have a niche for software, so I find excitement in the unique ways we are able to present our content and share our technologies with our clients.
What are your hobbies and interests?
I love to be outdoors, so things such as fishing and boating are always fun. I am always ready to pick up a volleyball or watch a movie as well. Animals always bring me joy, especially cats and dogs.
What groups are you part of inside and outside of work?
I have been a member of Joy Community Church of Onaway for many years now. I also enjoy helping out with the local sports teams whenever time allows.
What is your favorite thing about your job, working with clients or types of projects?
I enjoy that every opportunity is a chance to gain knowledge and grow. I am especially excited to be able to work in an area that is near and dear to my heart. Getting to work and see the projects and lives of the people who share the love for this area is awesome.
What is your favorite food and how often do you eat it?
Mexican food is my go-to. You cannot beat good chips and salsa with a giant burrito. I probably have it at least once a week.
What is your favorite adult beverage?
I really enjoy Stella Artois. Their beer and ciders are both good.
What is your favorite song and why?
I have an eclectic taste in music, so it is hard to narrow down to just one favorite, but anything Maroon 5 is always good. They have been my favorite band since I was in high school.

My homemade gumbo! It is one of my favorite things to make and oh so good. I probably make this close to every week.

What do you bring to the table?
As the structural engineer at EDG, I ensure the constructability and structural integrity of our designs. I provide value engineering to minimize the cost of building while maximizing the unique design features demanded by our clients and architectural staff. When my job is done well, our clients have no indication of the technical expertise needed to ensure the fluidity and stability of their design concept. Thorough structural design is visible only to the builders and craftsman who complete the project. When my job is done well, the customer enjoys their finished design with no worries for the long term quality and durability of their structure.
What are your hobbies and interests?
Reading, boating, skiing (snow), exercise and spending time with my family. I am currently expanding my hobbies to include fly-fishing and learning the guitar. I find them to be both challenging and relaxing at the same time.
What groups are you part of inside and outside of work?
Inside of work, I am an active member in the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), Structural Engineers Association of Michigan (SEAMi), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Log Homes Council QSA (Quality Supervisory Agent) and the American Plywood Association (APA).
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, travel, masters rowing (Crew), golf and looking forward to my second triathlon.
What is your favorite thing about your job, working with clients or types of projects?
Here at EDG, we have the opportunity to work with varied and unique clients, therefore each project is interesting and different. I really enjoy working on these projects with our clients; the creativity and vision that they bring to our design team presents many professional challenges. I also enjoy the challenges brought to my desk by the many architects and designers with whom we work. Stretching the boundaries of conventional design to include complex timber, steel, and concrete elements is a very rewarding process, made more so when it's complete and performs as envisioned.
What is your favorite food and how often do you eat it?
I wish I could say Duck Under Glass or Fresh Lobster but to be truthful, I like Meatloaf with mashed potatoes, gravy, and fresh bread.
What is your favorite adult beverage?
Single malt scotch or a Manhattan made with Jameson Irish Whiskey.
What is your favorite song and why?
I have many favorite songs. I love everything from classical, jazz, swing, and pretty much anything from Frank Sinatra and others from that era. Johnny Cash even makes the list.
Truman Baldwin, Office Pup
What do you bring to the table?
I am the official greeter of all visitors, and I provide invaluable security for both entrances. If anything is afoot, I am sure to alert the whole office.
What are your hobbies and interests?
I enjoy a good nap in the sunshine. I am also very interested in sniffing the perimeter of the building multiple times a day to make sure nothing has changed.
What groups are you part of inside and outside of work?
I am not really a joiner. I prefer my alone time, and I will seek company if I feel so inclined.
What is your favorite thing about your job, working with clients or types of projects?
I love getting out of the house every day and coming into the office. I enjoy my co-workers and all the attention I receive from our clients. I also appreciate the extra treats I receive during the day from our mail carrier. I don’t always eat it, but I do appreciate the gesture.
What is your favorite food, and how often do you eat it?
My favorite food is Luke & Mike’s Chicken Recipe Chew.
What is your favorite beverage?
Clean, cold, McCardel Culligan water.
What is your favorite song and why?
The sound of the treat bag opening is probably my favorite, but the tinkling of the front doorbell is a close second. That usually means that potential admirers are arriving.
